The ancient city of Side is an 800 metre long peninsula, 76 kilometers east of Antalya.
Side is nowadays is a true open-air museum, with a plethora of very interesting sights.
It is situated between orange groves, banana plantations and beautiful flower gardens. Near the entrance of this tourist village is the ancient theatre and the mighty city wall with the arch ports.
The centre of Side is one long shopping street with all small streets whith a lot of the Turkish clothing shops, souvenir shops, restaurants, bars, pubs and much more.
In the summer months the shops in Side are quite long opened. The sellers starts in the morning around 08: 30 hours and teh shops will be closed around 23:30 – 24:00.
A footpath leads along the picturesque fishing harbour via various popular restaurants to the Athens Agora Temple and the Apollo temple, which forms a beautiful entourage for a romantic sunset.
In Side is a beautiful landscaped pedestrian boulevard where you can relax while enjoying a drink enjoyed on the many terraces.
Side has two beaches. The Western beach is very suitable for small children. The beautiful sandy beach slopes gently into the sea off. The Eastern beach is something quieter and runs slightly faster of in sea than the West Beach. Also here you can find beach clubs where you can enjoy a beautiful day.
